Having One of Those Days..

I woke up late, never a good start. I then hurried to get into my costume and out the door. Guess what I found awaiting me on my car? First i was glad to see that no tow trucks got it, but the parking people found Ghetto. I had a parking ticket for 30 dollars. I was already runnig late and now I was just upset with the law, as I hit every red light to work. And since its Halloween Partyland is swarmed with crazy people which make me crazy. They are all demanding to their needs they don't care about the others around them or if they are being a crabby pants kind of a person. The hours went so slow but it was non stop busy. What a morning I had but what a rememorable morning it was. I am so glad to know that the days will get better. I know there are bad days but there are also the best days in my life. Those are the days I am looking forward to.

Prison Tour...

I took a Prison Tour today and this experience has opened my eyes to how lucky I am. We got to see inmates and I am so glad of the choices I have made in my life. When you first get in there they make you give everything up for 2 hours. No phone, no ipod, no money not even a license. They make you turn in your license take your keys and give you a visitor pass so they can keep track of you. Then they lecture you on what to do and not what to do. Millions of things were going through my head freaking out. Although I know I will obey everything they said you still get scared by swat teams with dogs...trust me. They took us to this place where they keep all the sex offenders, they only earn .40 cents a day, for this money they save it up for; education, tv, radio, chips, soda, ect. Then they took us to this room and showed us posters of all the gang members they have there and the bad things about gangs. These boys will take a toothbrush and a razor and put them together to create a tattoo tool or slash others that they can not stand. In this area they told us they have 3 generations all in Prison. Just cause they were all in the same gang. Then they took us to the work shop where they make license plates. Didn't know that License Plates were made in Prisons, along with signs for the state. They took us to another area where there were lots of cells and lots of people in them. One of the guys that took us on the tour told us that the boys act rude because they just don't know how to act. One of the Prisoners yelled "warning, don't feed the inmates" Which made every one laugh. Then some of the Prisoners start singing. They told us that is because they have nothing to do with being locked up for 23 hours. When we finished our tour we turned in our visitor pass for our license and then headed out. I thought it was so funny when they check you out at the gate. We had to show our license to them then they searched the car to make sure no prisoners were going home with us. I am so greatful for my family and there great choices.

I Am So Blessed

I am blessed with the best family ever. My nieces and nephews are so fun, and this past week i had an opportunity to hang out with my nieces and nephews and had so much fun. My sister called me one night to babysit and I was really excited. I don't always get the chance to watch her kids anymore. Well my mom called me right after to tell me i had a letter from Micah. So i went to my house to pick up my letter and drove to my sisters house. When I enter the room where my nieces and nephews are i feel like a rock star. They all come to greet me, you can just feel the love from all those kids. Well my sister said her goodbyes and we had hot dogs. Kimball had 2 and Josie refused to eat one. That is until she saw everyone enjoying them, then she had me get one for her. We all just sat there talking, there were noises that were scaring Abby and Josie. They started talking about robbers and then Abby started talking about how we are all sisters and brothers that Heavenly Father is our Father. That her mother and father were really her sister and brother. Then she started talking about the Second Coming of the Savior, she was jumping up and down and said, "I can't wait till he comes down again, where he can save us and all the bad will be doomed." This was very touching to hear a 7 year old talk about the Second Coming and getting very excited. After our little talk of the Second Coming, they saw my letter from Micah and decided to write him. Don't worry the boys were in bed fast asleep. The girls were to scared because they just watch Ghostbusters and thought the noises were from Ghosts. Well while they were making these pretty pictures we had a scare. McKay from no where starts talking. Some motorcycle had driven by and woke him up.

The next day I went to Salt Lake with my sister Whitney and my mom. We got to play with miss Molly and we brought these crazy glasses. And had some way fun times with them. Every time I held my niece Stella, Molly would grab my available hand take me to someone and have me hand off Stella so I would play with her. We went down in the basement and played in her playroom.

I love little kids, especially my nieces and nephews. One of my most favorite memories had to do with my nieces and nephews was my Grandma Francoms Funeral. I was sitting between McKay and Abby. Yes, i was crying real good. Abby was a bit teary and McKay was a bit sad. McKay leaned over and put his arm around me, and said "Katheryn, it'll be okay." Wow, i was so glad to have McKay sitting by me, giving me comfort. I know this kid knows the Church is true. Every time he talks about it you feel it. My sisters are great mothers and married great husbands, and they have raised there kids to be these amazing Latter Day Saints. Love you all!!

Scared!

One night I was invited by some friends to go to a secret hidden place to have a bon-fire. Well we get there and they tell us that there are homeless people who like to hang where we go to have this fire. I am already thinking great we are going to die tonight. Then i see this huge rock looking thing decorated with graffiti all over it. Okay now i know some others (no good news people) hang out there. So we are all enjoying the nice fire that you can't really get any heat from. Just laughing and enjoying ourselfs, then all the sudden I notice 2 black shadows on the top of this rock thing. I know you can probably guess where this is going. So i get up off the chair, which i was sharing with a friend who ended up on the ground. Tried to help her up and at the same time i just ran to the car. It all happened so fast i feel it took 2 seconds to get to the car. I thought i was in danger. I got in the car closed the door and layed on the seat. Good thing if they decided to kill us I think they would still get me seeing I just saved myself and i didn't drive. Well the guys came down and apologized. Ha silly me. Oh boy. But i was so glad to get out of that place. This place is very scary. And if you were in the position i was in you probably would do the same thing. But you know I know that Heavenly Father is looking out for me and loves me. I am such a lucky person!

Spider..

One day when I got home from work I noticed there was a Spider on the blinds in my room. I just left thinking it can't get out behind the blinds. Well Valerie (my roommate) and I couldn't sleep at night cause we were thinking this spider is alive and is going to attack us. We were frightened having nightmares, no joke. Well a few days later again coming home from work i saw it. I called Valerie to tell her the Spider is out of hiding. She kept telling me well kill it. K, I hate Spiders. No desire to get close to it at all. Well my roommate in the room next to me heard the whole converstation. She walked into the room grabbed the spiders with her hands. At this point i am so grossed out and like dying. Ew, its a spider and spiders bite. Well she let it free to nature. She hates the idea of killing any bug. Well then today we were walking home from church and I killed an ant not thinking. Lets just say she was not very happy with the choice i made. Oops.

Dress Up Bowling!

One night i was feeling crazy. I wanted to do something exciting. I knew all my friends loved bowling and maybe some miracle they would all want to dress up with me. Out of 8 friends that came with me 2 only dressed up with me. I was a little sad no one was feeling the vibe to dress up. I was just glad to see I had 2 friends that would support me in my decision. They didn't want me to be a loner and i know they are great friends. We had a great time and we thought everyone was having fun when all of the sudden we got ditched. No joke. Everyone that didn't dress up the 6 who didn't just walked out the door. We were so lost in what was happening but we all became greater friends that night. Knowing we had each other no matter what happens. I am grateful for Sam and Valerie, I am glad they would support me through my crazy times. You really find out who your true friends are through your rough times. Thank You Sam and Valerie!!

Poor Ghetto :(

One day i decided to park in a new place..somewhere where it could be easy to get out. I was so happy with the parking idea I had. The next morning I was headed for school, but i left really early so i could stop at my house to get somethings. Well I go out to this parking lot and I can't find my car anywhere. I had million things going through my head. Did my car get stolen? Who stole it? Where is it? I was in such a panic. I called my mother trying to hold myself together, telling her Ghetto (my car) had been stolen. She was upset, saying, "who would steal Ghetto?" My sister Whitney came to pick me up so we could take a look at the parking places. Well we went to that secret parking i parked. Sadly to say I saw 'the sign'. The sign read cars will be towed after 7am. Yes you guessed it, my car was towed. I was so scared to tell my mother, I knew she would be more upset. We went home as i worked up the courage to tell my mother. We had to go find my car and pay $150 to get it out of empoundment. I was upset and then i get in the car to drive out, and i sat on my only sunglasses and broke them. I still use them cause I don't have any other pairs and no money to get another. But now Ghetto is safe and I park it where I know it is safe from those evil tow trucks!

Moving out...

Ya! I did it! I finally moved out! Can you believe it? I love it and I love all the girls i live with. We all just get a long so well together. I couldn't ask for better roommates. Who thought that 6 girls could all get along great? I didn't and wa la...we do! I love it. There are days where we all sit in the living room and we all do our homework. I moved out with one of my best friends Valerie Fox and we do great as roommates. Some people say never move out with your best friend your friendship won't last. Well i think Valerie and I get along great living together. I am so happy we do, its made our friendship stronger and we have time to understand eachother and eachothers problems. There are nights we don't get to bed till like 2 in the morning cause of all our talking. Moving out helps you discover yourself and learn new things. And i am grateful for this chance I have.

Exciting day..

On July 15th my niece Stella was born. That same day i went to the American Idol Tour Concert with My sister Whitney and her friend Ashley. We had such great fun. Got to see the famous David Archuleta perform. I loved the contestants this past year they were all amazing and to see them perform live was very exciting. We were surrounded with older people and lets just say when we got up screaming and singing along and loving our experience, the man in front of us kept looking at Whitney and plugging his ears. I think it was suppose to be a hint of shut up girls. But that was the best day. Thank you mother and father for getting tickets so i could have an experience of a lifetime!
