Nook!

What is a Nook you are asking?
A Nook is an ereader. And can I just tell you I love mine.
One day when we went to Trafalga (we go a lot with our season passes) they had a game to win high priced items. Micah won the NOOK and I use it. He is not much of a reader and I am. I downloaded the book I was reading on there and its great. I can take it everywhere and its much lighter than a book in my purse. Because yes I would do that. :) I got it a few days ago and just finished the first book I read on it. "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie" Which I should mention THE BEST BOOK!!! Just wanted to share with you my love for NOOK. Thanks. Bye.

I ♥ Japan ♀

This last summer I fell in love with the Country of JAPAN!
The people are AMAZING!
The City is so CLEAN!
They think people are BEAUTIFUL inside and out!
We we were SAFE no matter where we went!
And they are very DEDICATED people!

This Tsunami and Earthquake has shaken them.
But I know one thing. All the things I listed above will not change,
They will not let this stop them.

I wish I could get on a plane now and help the beloved people I have fallen in love with, this summer.
I know I can help through Tithing of the Church and also fast and Prayer.
My parents are doing well in Japan.
All their missionaries and members are accounted for.
There are on warnings for more Earthquakes for a few months.
My mom and dad are strong and I know why they were called by the Lord to Serve at this time.

If you would like an update of how they are doing and how they feel, my sister McKenzie has blogged about it. And seeing it takes time to post it all... ;)

Music Warms my Soul

Do you ever have that one song by Taylor Swift that makes your heart warm? Do you ever listen to Ingrid Michaelson loving every word she sings and thinking her voice is just so amazing? Do you ever Listen to that music that has the spirit fill your soul? Or when you have a bad day and you play "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper or "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas?

I love music! In my very early youth I was in a singing group called "Sugar n' Spice". I loved it, I sang solos. I know some of you out there reading this are shocked I ever did such a thing. When I was little I seemed to not be scared of anything. This group was awesome, I loved it. My ward member friends all gathering to go to our singing group. Wearing our cute outfits and sometimes they included props. For example paper plates covered with saran wrap attached to sticks. I loved singing. I did singing groups all through my school years. I like to sing my alto part and harmonize with the people who can sing so high. Probably one of the reasons I don't sing out loud much. Who knows If I'll hit that very high note. I know its a 2% chance.

When I was 8 years old I got this little tape player, I would take it EVERYWHERE! My family members could always tell where I was. I came with my own background music. I wish I had some pictures I could share with you with my ghetto tape player, but it was one of my favorite birthday gifts throughout my whole life.

I still love music so much. I love to just turn the music up and belt it. I won't lie. Its some kind of therapy for me. My friends and I would always do that. Just drive around and belt out the lyrics louder than the music was playing. We didn't always sound pretty, actually we probably NEVER sounded good. But we enjoyed it. I love music. I like the good stuff.
