My Parents/Micah/Whitney

My parents are amazing!!! Many of you think your parents are the best in the world...but not to hurt your feelings my parents are. My parents are serving in Nagoya, Japan. Yes peeps this is right. My parents are in Japan where the tsunami, earthquake and now radiation has hit. From what they tell me on the phone and emails, they are doing great. They have had the opportunity to have the Tokyo missionaries serving in Nagoya. My dad is such an inspired man. My mother is a sweet loving woman, even if she makes you move a heavy bed frame across the cold-a-sac to another house after you fainted at voice lessons (this was not my experience). My parents raised my sisters, brother and I very well. I know what hard work is. I know what the Gospel is and how it is important in our lives. To push through our sickness and still work. My parents are the best and I love them for it. Now I don't really want to brag to you how awesome they are, I just love them and so proud of them to just be able to leave everything they know to go serve in Japan and love it. :) Japan is awesome though!

                        DAD
Like I said earlier, my dad is an inspired man. I can go to him if I have ANY questions about ANYTHING! He has taught me so much and keeps teaching me. Reminds me of things I need to do when I get stressed or just want to cry. Today I got to talk to my dad, this opportunity is hard to get some days, but when I called he was the one on the other side of the phone. And I just talked to him. About all my stress the changes that are coming to Micah and I, and he talked to me and made me excited for things that I was not. Or letting me talk about friends and how they are getting married or doing great in school and he just listens, and gets excited with me. I never told him I was stressed or feeling a bit lonely since Micah is always studying and my friends are busy. He just talked to me, and gave me such great comfort. Like I said I have the best dad ever!

                                  Mom
My mom is the best, she talks to me all the time. Listens to my most random stories in the planet. She also gets excited with me when I tell her news of other people, and sometimes she doesn't even know them. I can come crying to her and I don't feel embarrassed. She loves old movies, and most Sundays we would watch old movies together. She introduced my siblings to the best old movies, and sing along with us in the old movie musicals, you know like; Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Singing in the Rain, Calamity Jane. Etc. She is one of my best friends! I couldn't have had a better mother. When I was in high school with Cydne my mom started doing this lunch day with us. I think it might had to do with us hating to eat lunch at the school or something. She would buy some kind of food from our favorite restaurants and bring them to school, park in the parking lot. We would meet her outside and eat all together in the car and talk about our day. She did this every week. All my siblings can say she is one of their best friend as well, and at the same time she was our mother

Can you tell I am a little homesick for my parents??

I love you mom and dad!!
...
on a different note, my blog is my homepage. When I get on the Internet the first thing I see is one of my wedding pictures in real action, not posed. with the caption of "I married my best friend" I sure did. and this makes me so happy every time I see it.

I love you Micah LeRoy Wiederhold
(don't blush Micah)

10 Day Challenge

Who wants to do it with me?
One of the ladies in my relief society told us about it today.
10 days of writing in your journals, the website tells you exactly what to write on, what to do.
Give great quotes.
Some probably have already done this.
It's called Recapturing Beauty.
You are all beautiful and I think this is a great challenge for everyone.

Come and join!

Craft Time.

Last year for my birthday my sister got me some scrapbook stuff, with these 2 books that you open and make a page on each side. We never got a chance to do them before she left on her mission (which she leaves for Japan tomorrow!). I found them yesterday and thought I was going to do them and use them. So here is my outcome. I thought it was great! But I am not very artistic.

We (my hubby and I) decided to put them in our living room above the TV.

I had fun doing these. I just might get into scrapbook soon.

SHOUT OUT!

Who Knew?

Who knew that my job would be of danger to me, or maybe I'm accident prone.
Today I stabbed my finger with a pretty green hanging folder that weighs a hundred pounds of paper of one client. Boy does my finger hurt. But get this before I could even leave the room where this happened to go and clean the blood from my finger, and bandage it with one of those pretty skin color band-aids, I had to put the library books that the clients had checked back in, away. I had just spend 2 days organizing that Library of doom that no client was going to make a mess. I am very proud of my work.
I don't blog much about work, I can't really with keeping things of private to clients. I will tell you, my job keeps me on my toes no matter what. I am now the Office Manager, make sure the office in the girls house functions with papers that are needed, medical appointment for girls (and boy do they love appointments) and do little reports for my mother-in-law. That is right I work for my in-laws and its really fun. I think working for my in-laws keeps me on my toes in the first place. Working for them has also taught me so much about them.
I also have an opportunity to work with the troubled teens, and I find it interesting. I actually like it. I get close to these girls, they are all good girls that are just trying to do good, but they don't know how. I hope by my example I can effect one of those teens. Now by saying that doesn't mean they are perfect angels. I have been lied to, manipulated and have been threatened once or twice.
The rooster that attacked me a year ago no longer is there... if you haven't read the story, you might want to.
Watashi wa ondori ga dai kirai des!
Translation: I hate roosters!

Our Addictions

We all have our addictions,
these are the addictions Micah and I share.
Sub Sandwiches:
We like to buy all of our favorite veggies and meat, and make them at home.
We have this for dinner frequently.

Fresh Prince of Bel Air:
We have finished many season lately of this show. No joke. We don't get a lot of good channels on our TV, so we watch this show and just laugh hysterically.

Strawberries:
THIS IS OUR 2nd TO FAVORITE ADDICTION. We have strawberries with every meal.
Especially since they are cheap these days. :) Micah calls strawberries my weakness.
So if you want to be my bestest friend just cut up some strawberries and pass them to me.

TANGLED!
THIS IS OUR FAVORITE! We have the movie the soundtrack, we're always quoting it and singing the songs. Makes me so happy my husband loves this movie to. I bet this movie is a lot of people's addiction right now. :) Am I right?

What are your favorite addictions? Please share. :)
Now I must go we are starting Tangled soon....(and eating some strawberries)
