That DEATHLY Smell

The past few days our apartment has had this VERY distinctive smell.
We would get rid of the smell and than it would come back.
We had our bishopric coming yesterday and Micah and I had NO idea what the horrible smell was. We were taking showers. We are good at cleaning our house. Making sure the food is not expired. We were lost. We sprayed our house with one of those odor sprays that you use to make your house smell of good odor. So we are hoping it smelled divine when the Bishopric made their way into our apartment. We had a great conversation and headed over to watch the results of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, at Micah's parent's house. (Was anyone surprised Ricky is still in the competition?)
We got back to our apartment with the odor much more stonger. It was like our spraying made it upset so it made sure to come back stronger.
Once again Micah and I were on the search, using our noses. We took the garbage out..again. We cleaned out the fridge ... again. We even started flipping over the couch. (we have 3 sections of the couch)
That is when it hit us. He made a comment about how it maybe could be a flood. The memory of the smell came back to me from all the times my parents basement flooded. Sure enough that is what it was. All along the wall. We went back over to Micah's Parent's house to borrow a fan and more of that Odor spray. It smells much better today. Thank goodness. I still feel very worried about when the Bishopric came. I hope they weren't dying sitting right on top of the flood area on a couch. I hope they don't have the idea we are very stinky smelling people, cause we really do smell nice.

Girls Camp: I Survived!

I survived!
I think that deserves much of attention as anything. Just kidding. I had so much fun. It was great to be there with my old 6th ward buddies, and the stake leaders. And of course getting to know my 5th ward. My in-laws were there; My mother-in-law is the Stake Young Women's President, my father-in-law was there for half the week, as a High Council, Brea and Serena (my sister-in-laws) were there as participants. It was fun. I met a lot of new friends and had fun.
I was sure glad to be home though with my husband. And I don't miss any of those mosquito's.

Your Mom Taught you Better 2

Micah has done it again, which makes this even more funny!
Check out the previous post if you haven't read it yet.

HARRY POTTER

HARRY POTTER &
DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2
THURSDAY
JULY 14
8:30PM
I'M THERE!

on another note, I go to girls camp next week.

One of Those Precious Memories

This song means so much to me.
Why?, you ask.
When my sister and I heard it on One Tree Hill, WE HAD TO BUY IT!
Since then, we would crank the volume up where ever we were.
In the car, bedroom, or kitchen.
Whitney would sing the soprano part.
I'd sing the Alto part.
I miss my soprano part!
But know she is serving the lord with everything!

Whitney is doing great, still working hard on that Japanese.
She plays frisbee...... this is new to me.

Your Mom Taught you Better

Micah and I were sitting on the couch watching, probably Andy Griffith Show
All the sudden there was a big loud "THUD".
Micah than proceeds to tell me, "Oh, I left a soda in the freezer".
So this is what we found.

I than proceeded to say "I know your mom taught you better".
I will admit it was funny to see all the mess.
Luckily I didn't have to clean it up.

Camping

How to start our adventure this past week?
Well, Thursday I got to work with the teens. Every Thursday the girls go out and do some sport competition. This last week it was kickball. We split into teams and I was a little worried with the girls I had, but we rocked it. Well I don't know if you say we rocked it with the score 2-1.
Anyways after work we made our way up to a camp site with Micah's family.
On our way to the camp site the rain started to POUR hard. Micah's window shield wipers don't exactly work. We ended up getting lost in the Payson canyon where a lady came out and yelled at us for speeding. There were no children in the road and Micah was going the speed limit.
People I am sorry, when you come up to others and act like the police you look like an idiot and you make the other people feel like idiots and feel bad. Think before you act out.
When we got up there we set up our tent. They were so nice to bring up a tent for us. So we started setting a 4 man tent up to realize they did not bring the poles for it. Long story short we ended up putting up a 2 man tent. So here we are with a 2 man tent, a queen mattress and 2 people in it, equals a lot of laughter for us the 2 nights we spent up in the canyon. It was fun to be with the Wiederhold's. Lots of fun and talking. They make me laugh.
After our return home I attended a baby shower for Rebecca Framton "adopted sister". Cydne and I had a fun time. I am so happy for Rebecca and Chris.
After I rushed home to go to Lagoon, the Wiederhold's were so nice to let us crash in their fun. We went with a few of Micah's family members. We had SO much fun! Lots of rides. Lots of talking and I saw some people I know. That NEVER happens at Lagoon.
I really had a fun weekend and I wish I could share all the hilarious memories this past week.
Oh and if your bored, you should write my little sister in Japan. She would love letters.

I love you Miss Molly Victoria! Happy Birthday!

Celebration!

I love 4th of July!
I especially love it when we celebrate it more then one day.
Started the 2nd where I went to a bbq at the Wiederholds.
Delicious food, great company and fun games
Watched some great fireworks, I believe the Stadium of fire had better fireworks this year.
Ended with some ultimate frisbee, where my team lost...terribly.
The 3rd, another bbq at the Wiederholds with their extended family.
Again delicious food and great company.
ended with playing skip-bo, where again I lost....terribly
For the 4th, we went to SLC to celebrate Molly a.k.a. my niece 5th birthday.
Ate the most delicious breakfast.
Opened presents.
Ate some more of that wonderful breakfast.
Played. Talked.
Ate more of that wonderful breakfast (fruit)
Celebrated more!
Than went boating with the Wiederholds later that day.
Where I went tubing, and caught air.
Had fun spending time with them all.
Ate dinner and watched fireworks.
And slept peacefully that night.
How was your 4th of July weekend?

David Paisley?

My mother-in-law made me laugh today.
We were talking about the stadium of fire, when she brought up the singers
quoting, "I don't know who David Paisley is"
I was trying to hold in my laughter, I just snickered and had to say,
"Brad Paisley?"
I could tell she felt a little embarrassed.
Probably because I mentioned he was a "FAMOUS" country singer.
My mother-in-law is awesome.
She always makes me laugh.
Love being around her and the Wiederhold clan.

Pictures..

Pictures say so much, and save memories of this lifetime!
I love pictures!

Feeling crafty...?

For my birthday I got a Cricut. Well I spent my birthday money on it.
I love it! I feel very crafty with it. I don't really know what to make so I make a lot of cards and bookmarks. I think they turn out cute.
a few of my projects
On another note of feeling crafty I found this picture of my parents!

I have a locket, I had a great idea to put my parents engagement picture in it. My locket has been empty for a few years now so its been time to do something with it. So I figured out exactly what I wanted.
I loved my results.

I like to think I am crafty. :)
