Micah's present.

I know most of you are aware of pinterest.
If not you should, gives you wonderful craft, food and anything ideas.
Watch out though it can be addicting.
I found this craft of 52 things I love.
I used that idea and made it more into my own creation.
I really liked the outcome of it. I was happy to give it to Micah for Christmas.
I think he liked it.

Christmas Break.

 CHRISTMAS:
For Christmas eve we went to my sister Lindsay and family's house. What a blast!
We got to talk to our sister Whitney who is serving an LDS mission in Kobe, Japan.
Oh my goodness it was great to talk to her. I miss her so much. That made my Christmas right there.
We had a wonderful dinner! The traditional Christmas eve dinner. Before we headed to my sister's house we did a gift exchange with the Wiederhold Family and boy do I love them. Never a dull moment.
Christmas Micah set his alarm for 7 AM. When the alarm went off he asked if we could sleep another 30 minutes. I agreed. The alarm went off and I asked if we could wait another 10 min. Micah started to talk in his complaining voice. "Ohh mannnn I've been up since Sevennnn.. I was tooooo excited to go back asleep." I could resist I got up, didn't want him to wait another 10 minutes. We had fun exchanging gifts and spending most of our day with the Wiederhold. Made a surprise visit to my sister McKenzie and her family's house.

The day after Christmas
we went Ice Fishing.
My grandpa and uncle were surprised and so excited to hear that I went Ice Fishing.
You could see through the ice, and it kept cracking and would echo. This was pretty scary but once I got past that fact it was fun. To be out on the middle of the ice having a fun time with Micah's family.

Tuesday
we went on a bike ride with the Micah's family. It was crazy how nice it was outside to go on a bike ride. It was another fun moment to just spend time together. Here is a picture I got from the bike ride.

Thursday:
Micah and I made Poppy Seed Chicken with Rice and used the sweet bowls/cup looking
things I created in Japan.

I love Christmas Break. Micah and I got to spend a lot of time together. And with our families.
There are many more things we've done this Christmas break that are note worthy I'll just do a mention.
We did a Christmas Date in SLC with my family. Had wonderful time catching up and eating. Spending time with Micah's family and playing games and also catching up. Having Curtis and Annie here is always fun. Marissa leaves Monday and so we've just trying to have all kinds of fun before everyone leaves.
Like I said I love Christmas break.

ONE YEAR BABY!

One year ago from December 17th, Micah and I had our One Year Anniversary.
Wow, time goes by so fast.
I love Micah more since the day we've been married.
It's been such a fun first year.
As you've seen reading my blog.
One year down.... Eternity to go. :)

My New Favorite Song

Okay it's been my favorite for awhile now. I don't know why I love it so much.
Does it have to do with the fact she dresses like an Asian in real life? Her voice is really good.
She was off of x-factor.
I just ordered her CD on Amazon and it will hopefully be here tomorrow. So I can enjoy this song EVEN more!
I really do LOVE this song! I even have my program director (Whitney Erickson) Lovin' it too!

December 13th!!

What does the date mean to mean?
My Half-Birthday
I know it's lame to even mention half-birthdays. I have a story behind it that I like.
One day like a century ago I complained to my mother. I complained that my birthday was lame. My birthday is June 13th, I don't get checked out for lunch. All my sisters got checked out for lunch. They called it a special lunch. This made me jealous that I didn't get one. And the year I made it such a big deal that on December 13th my mom and grandma came and checked me out at lunch. I was so happy. I felt awesome to be out at a sweet restaurant eating lunch with my mom and grandma.
Made me so happy, my mom told me we'll do lunch on your half-birthday. I'll come and check you out and we'll go. This made a 7th grade me so happy, that every year on my half-birthday I'd ask my mom if we were going to go to lunch.
It probably died my last year of high school. But I thought of this on December 13th as I was sitting with the girls at the high school (for my job).
I texted Micah to tell him it was my half birthday and so we celebrated after work, with Taco Bell. YUMMM! Oh and our Iphones came in that day! YAY!
It was good! Minus the girl drama at work. :)
Happy half-birthday to me!

"My Cup, My Cup"

Remember the post from Japan?
How I mentioned I got to blow glass?
Well there is my glass I produced into a cup for Micah.
My mom sent it to Cydne, and I got it from Cydne last night.
I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Getting ready for Christmas

We did Black Friday this year. Which I'll just say, Black Friday is death. Especially at Walmart. We went for our job. So we were on the clock shopping for troubled teens. I will admit it was a way to start the Christmas season. Thinking of people who will not be home with family and being able to shop for them to get a Christmas. At Walmart we would stand in line and Micah or I would go out and try to find things that were on sale. The obstacle was to try to find your way back through all the crazies at Walmart. Well we went to Target after, which was way better than Walmart. They had a line that was monitored so no little butters. It was well managed. While we were there we bought a CHRISTMAS TREE. We were not here for Christmas last year we were on our Honeymoon in Cancun. So we had a different kind of Christmas last year. So this is our first year putting up a Christmas Tree. We bought decorations and things there. And the Saturday after Thanksgiving we set up for Christmas. It has been so fun to see a Christmas tree in our cold apartment. We are happy how it turned out. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL! I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas/holiday season.

SHOUT OUTS!

BIRTHDAY TIME!!
1st, Amelia Nov 4th
Turned age 2.
2nd, Alex Nov 5th
3rd, Crystal Nov 19th

This picture was stolen off Marissa Wiederhold's facebook!

This is an awesome family. And what a fun month full of birthdays.
I love Micah's family.
I met Crystal almost 2 years ago where she was my boss.
I was there to help her out and I got to know her well.
She is so friendly and caring.
She loves to do crafts and is really good at it.
She is strong in her beliefs.
Alex is fun, I remember when I met him the first time. I didn't even know Crystal and I was standing with 4 other girls that were my friends. When Micah came up and introduced him to me, with Crystal by his side. I think we all thought it was a little weird. But I got to know him more the last few days I worked with Crystal.
Alex is awesome and so fun.
He is a great dad and is good with people.
He is a hard worker and is very smart!
When I worked with Crystal part of my job sometimes was to hold Amelia. She is so cute. Crystal and I would joke about how I got to hold Amelia before Micah.
Amelia is full of energy.
She loves to entertain and get everyone to laugh.
And lets not forget she is smart.

WE LOVE YOU BLODGETT FAMILY! HAPPY HOUSE FULL OF BIRTHDAYS!
THANKS FOR LETTING US CELEBRATE WITH YOU!

Oh My...

Do you ever have those days? Weeks? Of you being completely ditsy?
Well I sure do, and it's only Wednesday.
Two stories to share with you.
1. Yesterday I was getting in one of the company cars to take a girl to school. (Luckily not the green one I hit a car with a few months ago) and the emergency break would not move.
Terie (my boss/mother-in-law) was close by so I went to tell her. She referred me to someone else. As I walked outside Whitney Erickson (program director @ the girls house) helped me.
She got in the car and couldn't get it to move. Then she put her hand out and pulled the release break...
wa la. I felt so stupid. The sad part is, I looked for that release break, but found the hood one instead.
2. Today I lost my phone. I looked everywhere. People kept telling me they were trying to call me. When I got to looking for it I couldn't find it anywhere. I was all packed up my coat on and my back pack on my back to go home from work. People kept calling it for me and we'd all be really quiet to see if we could hear it. My phone was close to silent that the song played really quiet. I went to the main office and could not find it. Thought I'd be going home with no phone. Micah (my husband) and one of the Therapist that works with the girls were in office trying to find my phone. When Micah looks in my backpack and pulls it out. The whole time I was looking for it, it was in my backpack on my back.
Thank you self for entertaining me and everyone around me.
Geez.

The Land of the Rising Sun (a.k.a. Japan)

I got to go to the land of which I love,
the land of Japan.
My sister wanted to take her new baby and asked for volunteers to go with her. I had to jump on I really wanted to go. I am always homesick for my parents and really wanted to see them.
I am so very happy my sister invited me to go. We got to watch some of General Conference twice and got to see friends we had met from our previous trip. We ate dinner with the Yamaguchi's who every family in the world should meet. And meet with the missionaries.
Here are some fun events we had. Warning there are a lot of pictures.
POTTERY MAKING:
The day after we arrived my parents took us to make pottery. It was hard and kind of stressful, but at the same time I loved the experience. I don't think the guy who helped us left my side. ha ha. My mom watched the baby (nora) as we made our pottery. I'll have to post pictures later of the finished products. But we each made 3 to 4 things.

 Takayama:
We went to a festival...kind of. It was all pretty much done when we got there.
We had delicious hamburgers and shakes. YUM!
You don't find those often in Japan, actually never.
We saw cool things. The second day in Takayama we went to a village and had fun looking at things, and of course buying things!

 HANG TIME:
We had some fun relaxing time, even if there was a few frustrated words said trying to find puzzle pieces.

 Kanazawa:
We had an opportunity to go to Kanazawa over night to attend Sunday meetings.
Saturday we stopped in at one of my mom's favorite parks. Here are some more fun pictures.

 GLASS BLOWING:
One of our Japanese friends (Megumi who is amazing) told us about glass blowing. We decided to give it a try, and here are some pictures. Just to let you know it is a lot harder then it seems. But I can't wait to get my glass. My mom said it turned out great. I'll post an after along with my bowls/cups when I get them.

I can't wait to go back and take Micah with me! He will love it I know it.
