You Matter

I found this on Seth's blog. I love it and it really inspires. I wanted to share it with you. :) I hope you like it just as much as I did.

You matter
When you love the work you do and the people you do it with, you matter.
When you are so gracious and generous and aware that you think of other people before yourself, you matter.
When you leave the world a better place than you found it, you matter.
When you continue to raise the bar on what you do and how you do it, you matter.
When you teach and forgive and teach more before you rush to judge and demean, you matter.
When you touch the people in your life through your actions (and your words), you matter.
When kids grow up wanting to be you, you matter.
When you see the world as it is, but insist on making it more like it could be, you matter.
When you inspire a Nobel prize winner or a slum dweller, you matter.
When the room brightens when you walk in, you matter.
And when the legacy you leave behind lasts for hours, days or a lifetime, you matter.

Manti Temple

My ward went to the Manti Temple last night for that Miracle show. I didn't really want to go, a few ward members changed my mind. They kept telling me it wasn't going to rain they had checked. Sure enough on the road it was pouring. We got to manti and everything was wet and it was pouring. But the savior was there, the rain stopped about an hour before the show. But our blankets were wet there was really no way to keep warm. Well the show began and wow I was so touched with the story. I loved it. All the times I went I've been younger and had the attention of a 2 year old. Now that I am an adult ":)" I was paying very good attention and wow I was really impressed. I just love Joseph Smith, He was so young and yet he was very Faithful of the things that were going to happen. And was very true to God and Jesus Christ. Wow!! What a brave young man. That would be hard when all your peers are telling you, that you are crazy. I am greatful for Joseph Smith. Very Very Very Grateful!! On our way home my friend who was driving was going a bit fast. I told him "I hope there are no cop cars around." Which to me was a total hint of you need to slow down. Sure enough there was the cop and his lights went on. I told him. We didn't get home till 1:40, wow it was so late. Everyone else in the ward got home around 1. Ha ha. Oh what a good time. :)

A crazy day!

Saturday, what a crazy day. My roommates and I had friends over to play night games and they didn't leave till around 1:20 am. After Olivia, Valerie and I stayed up till 3. We talked and stared at eachother. I didn't get a chance to go to the bank before so I figured I would go that day before 1 pm. Saturday I was woken up at 11 am. I couldn't believe I had slept for so long. But realizing I had gone to bed so late it all made sense. Well I walked outside to hear a guys voice. I was in trouble. Some guy in my apartment was going to see my lovely self before I got ready and stuff. I talked to Valerie who said she would take me to the bank. I was so excited I grabbed my checks and we were out the door. In a few minutes we were there in the drive thru to see the bank had changed its hours...what? why was this happening to me? I was not happy. We then went to another bank in S. Provo. They were closed. What was this? I needed money and fast. I was going to a movie soon and needed to buy my dad a present. Well Valerie decided we should try her bank that it wouldn't hurt. Shortly we were at her bank asking them questions about me cashing my check there. They said they would do it if; I signed the back of the check, my number was on the check and a photo ID. I had forgotton my check. I must mention the bank closes and 1 and it was 12:30 at this point. We hurried back to the apartment where I realized I had left my wallet at Albertson. So we hurried to Albertson and that is where we met precious Ginger. Ginger HE was working at the costumer service where I asked about my wallet. Well he was my hero he brought it to me. and get this. We were on in our pjs and didn't even brush our teeth and lookes so nasty and he still hit on us...um..awkward? well we hurried to the bank with one minute to spare and sure enough...the lady earlier lied they couldn't. Dang it. :( I didn't get to get my dads gift and I now owe my roommate 10 dollars. Oh goodie. I then slipped on the cement and hurt both my feet. At that point I just wanted to break down and cry.

My Birthday!!

I woke up to find my apartment had been decorated by my roommate Amber, and smack dab in the middle was a card. How thoughtful she was. That action she did made my day a whole lot better. I loved it. I know it must of taken her hours. So thank you Amber. I then got driven off by my sisters to get breakfast to Kneaders. They have the most delicious french toast. If you've never been there I highly suggest you go there, and very soon. You will love it. I then went home and opened a present from my family... a laptop. Just what I needed since my old one crashed long ago. Then we went and saw the movie UP. I loved it. I thought it was going to be very funny, but it was more touching then funny. Which is what I love. Then we went to PF Changs, yum. I was so lucky to have a day to celebrate my life. :). I then ate ice cream and played games with my family. Aren't I so lucky to have a family who loves me? I know I am. I also got to see my best friend that night, she had just got home from Hawaii and brought me a present. Which was a bag (a very cute one) with a towel, flip flops, Hawaiian treat, and a shell necklace. So fun!! I also celebrated my birthday earlier this week by getting to go to Lagoon. it was a little overcast but so fun. What a perfect day to go to lagoon. Its not too cold or too hot. Just right. I went on pretty much every big ride there. I know shocker. I get a bit nervous, but this time I decided to buck up and told myself a lot of people go on these rides and most of them...they are alive. And wa la I went on every ride. :) What a great way to celebrate my birthday. Thanks for all the Birthday wishes.

Lake Powell

I had another great opportunity to go to Lake Powell, thanks to my sister and her husband. We got to go on boat rides, a hike and do graffiti on shirts. How fun is that? I am so lucky! Well on the way back from our hike, I believe the Housboat was 2 hour ride home. Well 20 min. into the ride the boat....stopped. This was not good! We tried to call over the radio and no one responded. By our faith in our prayers the boat started that we drove to the closest marina. Where all the girls on the ride got to go in the rescue boat and my dad and Kris had to drive the boat back to the dock and take it to the closest repair place. I think the Bairds have a curse on the Rosander boat. This is the second time this has happened while we were on the boat. My sister surprised us that night with shirts and markers to decorate shirts with. I had so much fun sitting there drawing on my shirt and talking with my sisters. What good memories I have. On our drive home we stopped at a McDonalds where an old man called me by my name. Not going to lie I was a bit scared. This man knew my name, I didn't know how. And then he reminded me it was on the back of my shirt. I think he saw that I was a little creeped out he knew my name. Can you blame me? And then he complemented my shirt. I was just glad to get away from the man. He was a little bit strange. On this trip I had started the book My Sisters Keeper, What a good book. I finished it on my way home, of course I was bailing like a little girl whos feelings had just been hurt.

Taylor Swift Concert

On May 26th I got to go to the Taylor Swift Concert. I was so excited. That day I got to spend the day in Salt Lake with my mother, sisters (Cydne & Lindsay) and Lindsay's children. We went to Cafe Rio and went plant shopping. Later Whitney & Kirsten met us up at the Energy Solutions Arena and we headed inside to see Taylor Swift. We walked in and you saw all different ages all excited to see Taylor Swift. We got to our seats not the best seats. But its Taylor Swift you just don't care as long as you are there watching her. The concert started with the group Gloriana. I had already heard of them and I was really excited to see if they could sing or not. Kellie Pickler was not able to perform. I have no idea why. But I was excited for Taylor Swift to come on. She rocked that stage. She was amazing. I had so much fun just watching her. I am so lucky that I got to go see Taylor Swift in concert.
