American Idol
What to say about American Idol?! I love it, I love seeing regular people singing in a competition. I loved both Lee and Crystal. Lee has won this years American Idol. This is my favorite song he has sung this season. He did so good on making it his own. He has shown his amazing talent throughout this whole season!
WAY TO GO LEE!!!!!!!
(if you have not checked the video I posted below, do it!! You will enjoy this song a 6th grader boy wrote!!!)
Amazing Talent
This kid is AMAZING! I first heard his remake of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. He was on the Ellen show and sang one of his originals and I thought I would share it with you!! Tell me what you think?
(You might have to click on a link to get to acutally see it, but I recommend it! Its worth 5 min.)

My VERY Random Thoughts...
Do you ever have those days where you think very random things?
I have these thoughts probably everyday. If you don't know my personality...I'm very random. We could be talking about something and I'll change the subject the next second. Just the way I am. I feel bad for the people I write letters to. I hope I am making sense in my letters and my blogs. Sometimes I'll just ask my grammar police which is Whitney (my little sister) she loves all the chances she can to correct me on my grammar.
Well let the random thoughts begin, if you don't think they've already started.
The other day I was at work thinking of cameras and video cameras. They capture so much. They capture...
happy times
sad times
hard times
embarrassing times
times you don't know what to call
your 6th grade graduation you had to speak at
the song you sang for your family
your silly faces
a face of a thief
possibly a murderer
they can capture everything..
Well my fellow bloggers. At work they have video cameras everywhere. I don't know exactly what is captured about me but I have a guess...
my silly/ugly faces
my annoyed face
my I don't know why I just told you that face
the face of when someone talks about Micah(this face is probably captured the most)
that one time I got attacked my a rooster (I believe they call him Raptor)
and the times after that attack and I see rooster (that face is probably priceless)
my blond moments
Oh deary they capture A LOT!!!
Talking about blond moments I have a good one that happened to me at work on Friday. I don't know if you will get a good kick out of it but I sure did. Where I work there are 2 houses I go between. I was coming back to one where I was asked to close the garage door. Thinking I am so smart I will just go through the opened garage and then I will close the garage. Instead of going inside unlocking the door and then closing the garage door. As I closed the garage door and noticed the door was locked, I knocked on the door. I heard all the kids telling the lady I was waiting for, that someone was knocking on the garage door. I heard her reply in this questionable voice Why would they do that? I heard her get closer and closer. And her still thinking out loud why is someone knocking on the door, I yelled through the door telling her the door was locked. She was laughing and telling me the lock was on my side. In order for her to unlock it for me she would have to use the key. I was so embarrassed as I opened the door welcomed by the kids who stayed home from school and this lady. I work in both garages everyday. I don't know how I didn't think of the lock being on my side. I have to unlock those doors all the time on the inside.
Sorry for my rambling, its a Sunday and what a good day for blogging. You don't have to read them all. You can select the one you want to read.
I have 3 months and a few days 'til my missionary gets back. I am so excited for the day where I can talk to him in real life and not letters. As much as I love letters, writing gets old very fast. But I do love the letters I receive. Ask my mom, she always sends me to the mailbox on the days I don't have work using bait like "Katheryn will you go get the mail? Maybe you have a letter today." It always gets my hopes up and letters don't come that often. He says he writes me once a week, you know on pdays. I'm glad he sticks to the rules. But it leaving one country and coming to another it takes forever and I get a bunch of Homeland Security tape on my letters.
I just saw the movie Letters to Juliet: it was such a great romance movie. I would go see it again and again. In ways it reminded me of Pride and Prejudice. In others it made me so excited to go to Japan. Seeing her travel, made me so excited to do that in a new area I've never been.
As I am writing this blog I am watching You've Got Mail, a remake of Shop Around the Corner. I love both movies. And I love Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. I wish they really got together in real life. I don't know if its because I love You've Got Mail that much or just the actor/actress.
I warned you that this would be a VERY random thoughts blog..
I leave for Japan on June 28th. My parents talk (as everyone in the LDS world would know it as Farewell) is on my bday. Last year my sister spoke the day after my birthday due to her return from her mission in Taiwan. So the day of my bday we got ready for her homecoming celebration. This year its just on my bday. I am glad I can share my bday with my parents. But I don't want to be completely forgotten. :) I am very excited to go to Japan next month.

Birds...
I have a funny some what of a story. Do you ever feel like the birds are tormenting you?
....
At work there is a walk way to the front door, where a bunch of BIRDS live right above it on a bunch of trees. A few weeks ago as I was walking with a Lady I worked with I asked her if she thought the birds aim their doo doo (my mother requested I used doo doo instead of poop) right on your head? She laughed. You have to understand my reasoning here. There are 'doo doo' spots all over the sidewalk. That would make all worried. Ever since then I get a little nervous a bird will aim right for my head. Well my family and friends. It has happened...a bird has 'doo dooed' but luckily on my car. It wasn't a small bird though.
....
On the other hand here are some awesome family pictures. Done by Lauren, you can find her blog site on my blog list on the right side. :) SHE IS AMAZING!!!!

And My Decision is...
Since I've been done with High School, I was thinking of going into Psychology. As these years 3 years (almost) have gone by its changed a few times, but I've always kept Psychology in the back of my mind. Lately as people have been asking me about my major its been bugging me of not knowing. I decided I was going to figure out. I was done with this trying to figure it all out. So I read through my Patriotical (spell check) blessing and I found something about teaching that popped out. I started to really consider it. Doing all the things to require this. I really love working with kids, that's why I considered Psychology. As I think about teaching it fits more me. I love little kids and working with them. I am hoping I can go in this direction. I will start (hopefully) taking classes in the fall semester, if not winter. I want to get a move on this. Sorry for my rambling.

Dear Mothers,
Well first I want to say, my mother is wonderful. She does so much for me and I appreciate her so much. Mom, I love you and thank you!
So this week we have been babysitting my nieces; Molly and Stella. They are such sweethearts and love me. I am lucky to have nieces and nephews that love me. Sometimes I feel being a stay at home mother would be the easiest job ever, lets say I use to call it the DREAM JOB! Well my friends and family, I have changed my mind. Kids don't let you sleep on the couch or let you watch your movies. They will let you play with you. And never let you go. You are like kidnapped by the children. So mothers good work! I don't know how you do it 24/7. I hope one day when I have children I will be able to be a good mother. Well that is all I wanted to say. Good job mothers. Keep up the good work!

I Am Hilarious!!
You might be wondering why you think I am hilarious? If you are asking this question you don't know me. In fact I am hilarious and people love it. My parents, being called on a mission and all, I decided to make a little contract for my siblings. I told them I had a surprise for them all when they got to our house. They were all so curious that they were wondering what was going on. Making stupid guesses. Well I sat them around the family table next to their spouse and introduced this to them:
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a contract from your beautiful, bright, loving, awesomest sister Katheryn, you know your favorite sister. I love you all so dearly and we know that there is an event coming up in our lives. You might ask what this event is. Well I’ll try not to make fun of you for asking the question, but our parents are about to head off to Japan for a mission for 3 years. In this event I need to make sure certain things are going to be solved.
1. I need to be fed by you and your family once a month, Fast Sundays do not count because it’s already a tradition of our parents (If I am dating they might be with me.)
2. You need to call me once a week, More would be nice.
3. Invite me to your kids events; Cello, Guitar, Dance, etc.
4. Invite me for Holidays. I won’t have parents to make sure I am somewhere so now this is your duty to make sure I go somewhere.
5. If I do get married, which I think will most likely to happen in these 3 years, you need to be helping and listening to me and my insanity.
6. Laugh at my jokes…oh that one is a given. It’s my nature to be funny and that you all laugh at my jokes.
In return (that is if you can do all these 6 things) I will babysit for you once a month. I say this because it will be free. I don’t ask anything in return (except #’s 1-6). You just need to call and make sure I am available. I love you and thank you for being an amazing sibling.
If you can agree to all these terms please sign. Thank you!

Happiness
Do you get that happiness when you accomplish something you don't seem is possible? Or do you get happy when you listen to a certain playlist or album? What is it? What makes you happy? As I looked through my photos I found my surfing pictures and remember the happiness I felt when I stood up on the board. Me being a huge Gidget fan, I thought it was awesome to see what it was like.
Another thing that brings me happiness is PRIDE & PREJUDICE! My family will all tell you how I love the movies. Both the 6 hour and 2 hour versions. Its my favorite ever and I just love the music in the version with Kiera Knightly. My mom bought me the piano music to it and today I bought the album. I love it and it is wonderful. I thought I would share some of my love for it with you. Here it is! Enjoy!
