Jetlag?

I that how you spell jetlag? or is it jet lag? or is it something different and I've been saying it wrong my whole life. Well I've made it to Japan with my parents and sister. And we've been having a blast even with the jet lag. I've never had it before and boy am I tired. Everyone here is so nice and I love them. I miss my family back at home. and I am sure they miss me too. :) Maybe me parents more. We spent our first night in Tokyo in such a nice hotel. They were so nice and they spoke English. The next day we had some fun with Lisa who works at the Church mission office. She took Whitney and I around town and showed us the cool shopping areas in Tokyo. Later we had lunch with all the wonderful people (area authorities and mission couples...?) Later we ended up in Nagoya welcomed by elders singing to us. Tears. Love ya. And I'll keep you posted on the journey!

We can't forget pics....
Some of my pics are sideways... my computer is not getting pics at the moment. :)

And I also have to mention.... first night I tried Tongue and Octopus.... Probably other things I don't want to know I ate. :)

Last Thoughts Before Japan...

This past week my Parents have been in the MTC. I got booted from my house to my grandparents who luckily let me stay in their guest bedroom this past weekend. Last night as I was getting home being so quiet hoping not to waking them up. I was wearing these really cute shoes and they are a little slippery on the bottom...not good shoes for some floors, mainly carpet. So as I walked down the stairs what do I do in these really cute shoes? I FALL!! Right down those stairs. My life flashed before my eyes in those few seconds at the same time hoping not to wake up my grandparents. I didn't get a chance to ask them, but I am still hoping they didn't hear me.....

Another thing, my sister Lindsay gave us our LAST AMERICAN DINNER!! And boy it was amazing. She is so cute and so thoughtful. She gave Whit and I each a cute Asian character that my mom is currently obsessed with. Here are some pics of the great night.

Thanks Kris, Lindsay, Molly, & Stella

Time is Coming to a Close

My parents leave a week from this upcoming Monday. What does that mean? Time is coming to a close and so packing is necessary. Well here is how my room came along. :)

This is in the process of packing. I know what you are probably thinking! TERRIBLE MESS! I thought so to. I even thought of giving up on the room hoping the cleaning fairy would soon be on her way, but she didn't. I knew I was on my own! BOO!

Here is the hallway now! SO CLEAN! I DID IT! I don't know how, but I did!

Here is what my cute bathroom counter looked like before...okay maybe a little to much on it. But this is how it looked.

This is how it looked when I was packing. Everything from my dressers to nightstand to drawers ended up on my poor counter. Even stuff that wasn't mine. What do you see? Yes, that is correct a serger on my bathroom counter. It was impossible to find the things I need to get ready for the day. Dig a little.

Here it is now. Doesn't it look so clean?

Here is my cute room. My most favorite place in the world. That bed. THE BEST! Sad I had to say my good byes when the packing started to go full time.

Can you see my bed? Nope, that is a mat with blankets. It now has been about 2 weeks with out my precious comfy warm bed! I didn't know what I was really appreciated til I got stuck with that mat. and all the things around me. Not to mention SPIDER LEVEL!

Here it is now. With a few things I am taking with me to Japan or headed for storage! Everything is empty. Crazy. But I am excited to go to Japan and sleep in a BED! I miss it SOOO MUCH!

I'm 21!

Today is my birthday. And what a birthday it was. There is something about having a Sunday birthday. It starts Friday and continues throughout the weekend. Mine luckily will end tomorrow night with PF Changs and a play at the Hale theater, To Kill A Mockingbird.(which is one of my favorite books)

On Friday we started off with a dinner with pizza and a movie. Thank you every one who came. I got cool balloons from McKenzie, Craig and family. They were my favorite colors and so me! I wish I got a picture of all of them when they were floating. I got movies and my favorite candy bar from Cyd and Brayd. Some cool scrap booking stuff from whitter so we can scrapbook together. What fun presents I received.

Saturday we cleaned (due to my parents farewell party) and then my mom sent us (whitney, Kirsten and I) to the movies.

Sunday, my parents & Whitney woke me up with a birthday song. What a sight I must of been on my mat in my bedroom laying there. I then brushed my teeth due to morning breathe...who wants me to talk to them with that nasty smell. ;) I got phone calls and opened my presents. Itune cards and a NEW camera. I love my new camera it does all these cool things. My parents spoke and I got to see all the people I love most. How lucky am I. My EXTENDED family sang to me! Aren't I a lucky one? I sure think so.

Reality Check!

This past week we started doing some serious moving. Tuesday we moved my bed, dresser and nightstand. My things are all over the floor. This must mean my parents are really going to Japan. It never really hit me that they would be gone for 3 years. I knew they would be but I have been more excited to go with my parents for 2 months and I don't think I really knew what 3 years would mean. Well as we packed up in my room I realized something, I won't have a home. I will have sisters who have homes and would let me be part of it. But I will miss THIS home I have lived here pretty much my whole life. And I might not return to this house. This last week we went to Lake Powell. My mom arrived later and shared an email with us from the family who will be renting our house for 3 years. The email had information about her and her family including pictures. Then it hit me time is almost up. My sister started crying, and its like if one starts crying the others join in. Especially when its included this call to my parents. When we returned home from Lake Powell and I tempted to do something with my room, I didn't know what to do. I cried when talking to my sister McKenzie. Then later I thought I had overcome the tears and went into my room to just cry again with this time my sister Cydne coming in. Today my mom asked my sister why she didn't come to Sunday school. She replied to my mother that she was in tears. As time gets closer the more emotional we all get. I think we are all ready for this part to happen. Because its just making us all more teary. Today I got released from my 2 callings...CRAZY!
......
This isn't a post to make everyone feel bad for me. This is for me and realizing what is coming up and things are changing, but changing for the better. I am really excited for my parents. The missionaries working with my parents will love them. My family sure does. I can't wait to hear what adventures they have, and I'm glad that I can start the adventure with them. This Wednesday they get set apart. Sunday(my birthday) they will be addressing the ward. The 23rd they go into the MTC, I'll see them at nights. Monday the 28th my parents, including Whitney and I are headed off to Japan. I really am so lucky to have the parents I have, and I am willing to share them for 3 years. Especially when I have a family like mine.
