I ♥ Japan ♀

This last summer I fell in love with the Country of JAPAN!
The people are AMAZING!
The City is so CLEAN!
They think people are BEAUTIFUL inside and out!
We we were SAFE no matter where we went!
And they are very DEDICATED people!

This Tsunami and Earthquake has shaken them.
But I know one thing. All the things I listed above will not change,
They will not let this stop them.

I wish I could get on a plane now and help the beloved people I have fallen in love with, this summer.
I know I can help through Tithing of the Church and also fast and Prayer.
My parents are doing well in Japan.
All their missionaries and members are accounted for.
There are on warnings for more Earthquakes for a few months.
My mom and dad are strong and I know why they were called by the Lord to Serve at this time.

If you would like an update of how they are doing and how they feel, my sister McKenzie has blogged about it. And seeing it takes time to post it all... ;)

Music Warms my Soul

Do you ever have that one song by Taylor Swift that makes your heart warm? Do you ever listen to Ingrid Michaelson loving every word she sings and thinking her voice is just so amazing? Do you ever Listen to that music that has the spirit fill your soul? Or when you have a bad day and you play "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper or "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas?

I love music! In my very early youth I was in a singing group called "Sugar n' Spice". I loved it, I sang solos. I know some of you out there reading this are shocked I ever did such a thing. When I was little I seemed to not be scared of anything. This group was awesome, I loved it. My ward member friends all gathering to go to our singing group. Wearing our cute outfits and sometimes they included props. For example paper plates covered with saran wrap attached to sticks. I loved singing. I did singing groups all through my school years. I like to sing my alto part and harmonize with the people who can sing so high. Probably one of the reasons I don't sing out loud much. Who knows If I'll hit that very high note. I know its a 2% chance.

When I was 8 years old I got this little tape player, I would take it EVERYWHERE! My family members could always tell where I was. I came with my own background music. I wish I had some pictures I could share with you with my ghetto tape player, but it was one of my favorite birthday gifts throughout my whole life.

I still love music so much. I love to just turn the music up and belt it. I won't lie. Its some kind of therapy for me. My friends and I would always do that. Just drive around and belt out the lyrics louder than the music was playing. We didn't always sound pretty, actually we probably NEVER sounded good. But we enjoyed it. I love music. I like the good stuff.

Letter to my parents

One night I got this fun idea to write a letter to my parents using the lyrics
and the music from the song 'Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah'. I thought it turned out very well.
I wanted to keep it so I putting it in my blog so I will always have it.
:)
Hello muddah, hello faddah,
Here I am in Provo Utah.
Provo is very very snowy,
And they say we'll have some fun if it stops snowing!

I went driving with some teens,
it was incredibly-y icy.
You remember how it feels,
To be driving on those Icy-y Freeways!

All the staff hate the snowfall,
And the snow-w keeps falling!
And the head boss wants no sissies,
I am glad there is not another snow day.

No, I don't want to-o scare ya,
But my parents are so lucky!
You remember the Buick,
They're about to organize a searching party!

I miss summer, oh muddah, faddah.
I miss summer, I miss summer.
I don't like the Utah snow,
Where I might get hi-it by a car!

I miss summer, I promise I will not slide off the road,
Or catch a cold with all the staff.
Oh I wish it was summer;
Where I wear flip flops!

Dearest faddah, darling muddah,
How are the precious Missionaries?
We want to Visit so we're saving;
We even save all our pennies!

Wait a minute; it's still snowing.
Girls are shoveling, Girls are sledding.
Throwing snowballs, which can get you suspended.
Muddah, faddah, I hope you enjoyed this letter!

My Very Comfy Warm Pajamas

The one thing I love about Winter is my Zebra Pajama outfit.
My parents gave them to me about a year ago.
They are the most comfortable pajamas ever.
All the times I've warn them and wash them, they have not lost their fluff.
I know its weird I am blogging about my Pajamas.
But wouldn't you if you had these?

The Trip You Never Wish You Have to Make

Thursday February 17th, 2011: We made a trip to the ER.

Micah was cutting an avocado with one of the ceramic knifes we got for our Wedding.
He cut his left thumb pretty bad. I went straight over to help him, and if you know me you know I am not good with blood at ALL. I grabbed the last paper towel off the roll and handed it to him.

Micah kept telling me, "I'm going to faint!" I tried to hurry him to the couch, before we got there he fainted. I didn't think he did. I thought he just fell. He looked at me and asked if he had fainted. I thought at first maybe he was joking but than the look in his eyes I knew.
He than went to the bathroom because he felt he was going to throw up. I called his parents to make sure if I should take him to the ER His dad said I should. Poor Micah laying on the floor telling me all sorts of ways we can fix it. He did not want to go to the ER. He was so pale and I knew I needed to get him there. The blood was pouring out. I grabbed a rag, figured it would be better than the little paper towel covering his thumb. I finally got him out the door. And let me tell you. I was doing everything possible not to freak out. I hate blood, hate ERs, and worse I hate seeing my husband in so much pain.

We went to his parents house where his dad gave us the medical card. His dad ended up coming with us, which I am very grateful for. I think Heavenly Father knew I couldn't do it by myself. He was good to distract Micah as we went into the hospital and when he was waiting for the stitches and when he was getting the stitches. He made it, got four stitches and they wrapped him all up in about 30 min. Probably the quickest ER visit out of 3 I've been to. Micah couldn't look at the stitches until today. Use to make him lightheaded. I know he can't wait for it all to end.

Hair

I cut my hair about 2 weeks ago and I think I am finally liking the cut.
Its an easy hair-do, and easy to manage at 5:30 in the morning when I am getting ready for work. :)

Life on Drugs...

I am on day 8 of this headache I have, I've been advised to go see a Chiropractor or a Physical Therapist...We shall see what happens tomorrow. I went and saw the doctor yesterday. They told me I have a Tension Headache, and subscribed me some drugs. One of the drugs is to help me when I get headaches...didn't do anything for me. Another one is to help me relax my muscles and night to help me not clutch my teeth (bad habit) I can take one or 2 if its really bad. Luckily I only decided to take one. The next morning I woke up to Micah shaking me that my alarm was going off, this NEVER happens. I always hear it and I am the one who has to wake up Micah. Well my body was weird. I couldn't really control it. Micah kept telling me to hurry and I couldn't. Moving my legs, lets just say it was like seeing something in slow mow. Well I get to work I am trying not to cry. People could tell something was wrong and when they started talking about what staff going to what school. How I would need to drive. I kind of looked at our head school specialist and told him I can't drive. Someone will have to drop me off. He kept talking to me realizing something more was wrong, told him about my headaches and how I really didn't like what I took last night. He looked at me and said get some caffeine and if you need anything just call me and there I went bawling like a baby. Everyone felt bad. I cried in front of teens and staff. I ended up coming home and sleeping for hours. Probably the more safe thing for me and the teens.
Wow my adventures have been so fun.. but really they have. All the fun parties we've attended and the family events happening this week. I am lucky to have my family the Baird's and the Wiederhold's. And I get to play a lot of games, my mom knows how happy this makes me since I force my family to play games with me. Life is good besides the little things that make us stronger. :) Love you all.

People..

Today as I was driving back from an appointment that I took teens to for my job there was a person who made a HUGE NO NO! We were driving back all happy when a driver decided to go out in front of us. SERIOUSLY in front of us. I could hear all the girls make that huge gasp. I swerved and somehow missed the car. One big miracle, I mean a HUGE miracle. I am still in shock how I missed it. Right in front swerving to miss there bad decision. I don't think they saw me, but who wouldn't see that nice huge pretty hue green 15 passenger van? The girls were surprised we had made it and clearly so was I. I was counting my blessings. I was grateful to get back to the program and take the scared girls inside and let them all calm down. But to lame decision drivers.... BEWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS!
