Dear McKay, You make me old! I was only 10 years when you were born, and that feels so long ago. You are so funny and always make us laugh. You are great at comforting others and being sweet. We love you and look forward to seeing you at family gatherings. You have been my best buddy since you were born. I'm so proud of you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!  Keep working hard, you are a great kid. Don't give your mother too hard of a time through the teen years. ;)

Sister Whitney Baird has returned back to Utah August 21st.

We are so happy to have her back.

Vacation Time

Micah and I got invited to go to Disneyland with the whole Wiederhold Clan.

We had a blast and thought it was a blast. We love family time.

It's been so fun to have Miss Nora join the family this last year. She is so fun and cute. She loves to eat hair... I know weird. She loves to be on the floor and play. She went to Japan in October with her mom, Cydne and I to visit Grandma and Grandpa. And she was the dendo (Missionary work) Baby.

"Celebrate Good Times..."

Last week I had a birthday, I turned 23.

I'm a year older and wiser too. (this part of the song my dad pretends to pick his nose)

Birthdays when I was young was the coolest thing ever. You got to choose the activities through out the day (expect that one year when my mom made me go to RC WILLY, BOO!) and your choice of dinner, (Whitney usually would try to encourage me to go where she wanted to go). When you get older it isn't that much fun. I'm not one that LOVES attention and wants EVERYONE to LOOK at ME. I'm much more on the relax side.

We started celebrating my birthday last Saturday with my siblings. We went to Cheesecake and when I went to use the bathroom everyone told them it was my birthday. My niece Molly tried to give me the warning but her mother told her, "Shh.. Molly it's a secret." She was so happy to jump on the secret train she didn't give me any hints. But everyone was smiling at me looking for our waiter. That's when I knew what was going to happen next. A bunch of waiters came singing at our table and gave me ice cream with hot fudge. I'm a sucker for ice cream and a hot fudge. 

Thank you siblings for taking me out and celebrating. It was so fun, and I enjoyed myself. Even if I was ready to give up on our 2 hour game of 'Phase 10'.

Wednesday came and boy did I get spoiled. I went to work to see my desk full of candy and treats. How spoiled am I at work, I think they do it cause they like me and not because I'm the boss' in-law... :)

Some of the teens at work made me cute cards. At one point they had a singing contest who could sing the loudest and most off key. I don't know if they knew of the contest but I did in my head. I love it. They were so fun and loved to tell me happy birthday. The Office Ladies; Sandra, Kira, Cynthia and Marissa (also known as my sister-in-law) took me to Pizza Factory and we enjoyed pizza and a breadstick they made out of 23 to celebrate. 

When I got home from work there was a little package at the top of the stairs with my name on it. Who was it from? My cute sister serving a mission in Kobe, Japan. She had spent her money and shipped something to me for my birthday. How nice is she? She got me the most fun things from Japan. And if you've been to Japan you'd know how fun! Micah got home and we started the celebration by watching a movie ordering pizza and shopping with my birthday money. It was fun, although I'm not of a shopper and can be picky, so shopping took long. But it was fun to be with Micah. I got some fun presents and I really only became a day older. 

I love birthday's... I don't know how much longer I will enjoy them!

Memorial Day

How do you celebrate Memorial Day?

There are so many ways to celebrate and remember.

My extended family, Baird side. We get together and each family has a color.

For example my family wears orange.

Luckily this year it is the IN color. Sadly... Micah and I had to go run to a store before the party to buy orange shirts.

My aunt (auntie is what I call her) picks a cemetery where family is and we learn the history.

Who doesn't love learning facts about your ancestors?

While we were learning all these facts I got a HORRIBLE burn.

But being with family was priceless. ;)

Micah and I really enjoyed ourselves, and even on Micah's Birthday.

We had a BBQ lunch and sang songs of our family (my Auntie is just that cool) and recognize all the good our family including cousin's children's accomplishments.

After all the fun and the closing prayer my Uncle game another Uncle who has cancer, a very sweet tender blessing. It was awesome everyone got to participate.

Lake Powell

This last week we got invited to go to Lake Powell. (thank you Lindsay and Kris)

Micah tried to surprise me.. but it really didn't work out.

We had so much fun in the sun, with great company and food.

After our Sunday drive home we went to McKenzie's house to make salad's for a Baird family party. And I just have to mention. MCKAY MANNING DOESN'T STOP GROWING. He is only one inch shorter than me..... Can you believe it? He is 10 years younger than me. I'm 5'7" & McKay is 5'6"!

Abby is a sweetheart. She is always so kind to help others and loves to laugh. Her laugh is contagious. And it's so much fun to make her laugh. You can't tickle her long. She loves to play games and is good at it too. She plays the cello and sounds beautiful at it. Check out my sisters blog to check out her skills. I love my niece Abby. She pulls great faces and is very crafty and a great writer.

My mom is a wonderful person. She is sweet and kind but when it's time to work she does not give you slack. You pull in your work fair and square. I love her for teaching me how to work hard. 

I love my mom. She has taught me so much. 

She is a great listener, the most crafty person I know. I wish I was as crafty as she is.

She can make anything and make it so beautiful.

I love my mom. I'm counting down the days until I get to see her. :)

Taken a long time ago..

Cameron is a wonderful brother. The only son my parents have out of 6 kids. Poor Cameron had to deal with all of our girl issues in the house. He is smack dab in the middle of all the girls.

But he is a wonderful brother. We all love him and yes he is all our favorite brother. It's a good thing we all love him. He helps with math and anyother subject he can. We love him. 

He is one to call and see how we are all doing. Kind of the head of the family. 

He is fun and competetive.

Sierra invited Micah and I to a surprise celebration for Cameron on his birthday. And boy did we have fun. We went to the rollerblade derby and let lanterns off. What a fun birthday celebration. And to be with family is so fun. We loved every minute of it. Thanks for inviting us. To celebrate my favorite Brother's birthday. ;)
