Valentines..

Since my post about how I am not a huge fan of Valentines Day, I believe someone has been trying to send me a message. I am still not a fan of Valentines Day but I am a fan of Love. I've had great opportunities: one was helping out at a special dinner for the widows in my stake. The week before this event would happen the paper to sign up was headed out. That was the same Sunday as a guy stood up to bear his testimony about how he loves to serve others and not himself, so when that paper came around I felt I should probably be better so I can tell people how wonderful I am. When the day actually came to the dinner I was hoping they would call and cancel it so I wouldn't have to go. Not a very good thought I know, I should love to go out and serve others. I was just in a bad mood waking up to a cold sore, they make me so angry. Just hoping I would get out of something. Well that phone call never came, so I got dressed up to go serve the ladies in my ward. I was not excited at first and especially when they all started to give the directions of how we serve, which made me even more nervous. The night went on and I had a bunch of wonderful old ladies in my home ward. They were all so friendly and showed me that Valentines isn't about the mushy stuff its about being with the ones you love. The weekend of Valentines I did get to celebrate with the ones I loved. Just by watching The Olympics, watching a movie, or getting a drink. My mom was so nice to give me a Valentine some awesome converse shoes I have wanted for awhile and a cute pink journal. My sister also gave us a cute valentine a CD full of love songs and a cute card for the family. Even if I am not a fan of the mushy stuff I am a fan of Love. I love my family and my friends!

That is right! My parents are going to be MISSION PRESIDENTS IN NAGOYA, JAPAN! Leave in July and I get to go visit for 2 months. We are all so excited for them to go and do something so amazing that not all can do! Good luck mom and dad. I love you and know you will be amazing!

One Day Only

So many of you know I like to use Picnik to edit my pictures. I love what I can do, I don't use the premium features because I don't want to pay a lot each month just to use them. I am fine using the free stuff. I Can still make the pictures look great, and I don't always get on Picnik to edit all the time. Well one day I was bored so I decided to get on Picnik and see if I could do some cool editing. I did, Picnik was doing a special. Everything was free for 24 hours. I was excited and got straight to work. I know that sounds weird but I really do editing photos. And I know I am not the best at it. I don't really have an eye for a lot, and you are all probably sick of me talking about it. Well I got to use some cool effects. I will post the pictures I did that night. Not all were used with premium features. I just like my cool photos and like to share them with others, please don't judge on some of my pictures..ha ha. (especially McKenzie and Lindsay on the Valentine ones) :)

Katheryn

On facebook a bunch of people are finding out what their first name means on Urban Dictionary. Since they all have normal spelling names so they have more then one definition. My name being Katheryn spelled so unique. I only have one definition. which is;

1. A girl that wants to be a hippy and is quite attractive
That girl Katheryn girl was rocking some mad hippie glasses today, and did you see that headband?

You should look up yours and share them. I would love to hear what they are. They are fun to share and some are really funny.

'Tis the month of love. How do I feel about this? Not a huge fan. Its not that I don't have a boyfriend. I've had boyfriends over this month before. I just think its a weird holiday to celebrate. Although I loved it when I was a child. Where the door bell would ring and you would run to find a Valentine awaiting you on your door step, I even remember when Whitney and I got tutus one year. Once you get older its just an over rated holiday. Yay I get presents and I get to give them also but its just a little much. Maybe I get sick of the idea people going full out or getting married on the day of love. Not a huge fan. Sorry if you are. Don't be mad at me. That's just my thought. But for me Valentines is an over rated month. Maybe that will all change when I get married I don't know. But for now that is just my thought on Valentines. :)

Oldies ☮

I found these pictures the other day as I was going through albums and some of them I love. Its kind of fun to look back at the past and see how cute I am...most of the time. ha ha. I love my family and these pictures are winners. I've had a lot of fun memories in my life and these are some of them. I love looking at old pictures. But I am glad I am moving forward and going somewhere in life. Love those days. Enjoy.

I know you are all sick of my photo edits. I don't want to brag at how amazing I am at it, because I know I am not. It just entertains me and is something I love to do. And I know this is a way I can show my sisters the pictures I stole from their blogs to edit. :) hee hee. Here are some of my favorites!!

Have you ever felt nothing you do is right? Every on is sick of you? No one wants to listen to what you say? You don't feel smart? You wish you were doing something more fun than school? Or sometimes you feel gross, maybe it has to do that it is 3 in the afternoon and you are still in your pjs. Maybe you just haven't exercised yet.

....

I will tell you I've felt all of these one time or another. You never feel good after you feel you don't fit in. I hate the feeling I give myself. I am good at making me feel lame. I think I am the person who brings myself down the best. That is something I want to work on.

....

One main reason that brings me down is schooling. I feel I am doing nothing, I am taking 2 classes online and will be taking a mission prep class that starts tomorrow. Online classes are horrible for me. For example I should be doing them right now but decided to take a break. I hate just staring at my computer all day long at all the words that have not reached the paper yet. Or the book that is so boring I have to read. And for the math...I stare there for minutes, hours looking at problems I wish I understood. Which when I give up I just end up looking at Facebook, which is really boring. I've decided to tell you all this to help me admit my problem so hopefully it will help me move on! I am going to get what I need to get done this semester so I can take classes in the summer in a classroom. Not online, I want a life. Online classes kill the social life I meet no one new. Everyone else is busy with their school work after classes. But my school work is my class. Which means I don't get to see much of my friends.

Thank you for letting me vent to you! I know that once I feel I can succeed these classes, I won't feel like such a lamo. I will admit, I get jealous when people talk about their classes and their teachers, even if they hate the teacher. So that is my goal, to get everything I need to get done for UVU and BYU Independence Studies so I can take classes in a classroom.
